Currently the Westbrook race course has three inches of snow. We need a decent snow fall from this weekend’s predicted storm for this race to go off as planned. We’ll announce whether the race is happening (and if so, open registration), on Sunday or Monday. Let it snow!
Despite some unseasonably warm weather, our annual Ethan Howard Memorial Rig Race was a success. Thank you to our sponsors, volunteers, and competitors for creating a fun weekend of racing!

Last season, NESDC tried a short, “recreational” class at our snow races. It was so much fun for participants that we’ve decided to add a recreational class to all of our races this season!
The “rec” class will be held on the first day of our races and will feature a short course (likely a mile). It will be open to drivers with one to four dogs using sleds or skis, or for our dryland race, bikes, scooters, or rigs. The entry fee for rec classes will be five dollars.
Our Fall meeting, originally scheduled for the 20th, has been pushed back. Our Fall meeting will be held instead on September 27th at 2 pm in the Merrimack, NH, public library.
