Let’s hope the weather is cooperative this winter!
If you are coming to the race, please remember to bring a donation for Liberty House (non-perishable food, warm clothes, backpacks, sleeping bags are what’s needed) for homeless veterans.
We will be announcing the rest of our race schedule for the season soon.
NESDC (and our snow problem) was recently featured by on WGBH public radio. See A winter without snow isn’t so great when your winter sport is dog sledding to hear an interview with our club president.
On February 20, 2016, the New England mushing community lost one of its brightest stars, Keith Bryar II. Keith was a fierce competitor, a tireless advocate for dog-sledding sports, and a generous mentor and friend.
He will be deeply missed by NESDC.
Sadly we’ve also had to cancel this season’s race at Tamworth. Ice conditions are not safe and the forecast indicates warming temperatures. Let’s hope next winter is kinder to our racing season!
