We are postponing our annual dryland race until next Spring. While we are confident that we could have put on a safe event following all state COVID-19 guidance, we respect the concerns expressed about holding on event right now.
We are looking at April 10–11, 2021, for a Spring dryland event.
We have tentatively scheduled this season’s dryland race for Dec. 5 & 6. We are still awaiting written confirmation that our permit application for use of the site has been approved. When we have this confirmation, we will open registration.
Please note that we will be enforcing mask-wearing and social distancing rules at this event.
We held a mixed live and virtual spring meeting. The meeting notes are as follows:

Discussion of ISDRA Insurance vs. Clubs own insurance
– Do we need private insurance for specific races?
– Morrisville need specific rider for VAST trail and private land owners
– Certificated need to be made out to each land owner
– Plan to look into this before fall
Discussion about Timing
– Using Raceworks for timing
– Paying timers
– Consider finding a new organization to donate to
– Need more trail help
– Veteran’s day weekend
– Send Mike a letter outlining what club needs in order to hold race as far as
safety and finances
– Plan to have permits for road crossings
Have been invited to PSDC Summer Camp out and meetings so that we can coordinate race schedule: July 31 st – August 1 st in Morris, PA
Do not have to be a member to attend
Season End Awards
– Need to have more races – need to check by-laws
– Need to be present at spring and fall races
– Pine River State Forest – Ossippee, NH
– Could apply to have both dryland and snow races here
– Trail clean ups
– Training days
– Fun races
We have (re)scheduled our spring meeting for June 7, 2020. We will also investigate the options of holding a virtual meeting if gatherings are still not permitted at this point.
Plan is to meet at Glenn’s Truck Service, 1021 Laconia Rd, Belmont, New Hampshire 03220.
We have had to cancel Tamworth. On Sunday there was 6-8 inches of standing water on parts of the lake. While the forecast for the race date is great, there’s a lot of warmth before that and the trail may not be safe.
